Tall Salt Pot Heat Treater:

This is a two burner, sword-length salt pot heat treater with Watlow 93 digital controller. This unit will accommodate 40 inch blades. It's propane fired. I only run one burner at a time (top burner first). When the salt at the top is molten, I switch to the lower burner. This prevents pressure from building under a cap of cold, solid salt which could result in it's forcible expulsion from the tube and damage to the apparatus and its operator. This unit will heat to 1,600 degrees F. in about 40 minutes. (No, I don't operate this unit right next to that propane tank!)
