Back in 2001, Amy decided it was time for an additional cat style besides the arching cat and the Sitting kitty. After lots of sketching and unsuccessful attempts at a "hang in there" kitty, Amy finally conceived an idea for the kitty, right in the middle of making a set of round beads! She quickly sketched her idea onto a nearby Q-Tip box while trying to keep the round beads hot in the flame. It quickly became one of Amy's favorite designs to make because of the inspiration the style gives its wearer to "hang in there" when the going gets rough.

These kitties have horizontal holes and no pin is required.
